Objective

The first objective of these projects was to review the current state of remote sensing methods for monitoring the slopes of natural and man-made loose material structures, such as dams, embankments and landslide zones.

Secondly, we were to propose solutions for the continuous monitoring of these structures, to be added to the various inspections currently carried out by customers.

Methodology

Conduct a technology watch on the various methods of monitoring loose material structures using passive and active remote sensing as well as in situ sensors, to compare the advantages and disadvantages of each method.

Propose a method or combination of methods to be added to current inspections to improve continuous monitoring of structures.

Equipment

Photogrammetry software, mainly Correlator3D
