Since his return to the region, Dominic worked as a business counselor at the MRC du Fjord-du-Saguenay and as a Finances and Development counselor at the CÉGEP de Chicoutimi. He has a bachelor’s degree in International Management, and he aspires to enhance the CGQ development, so it becomes a pillar in the Geomatics community in the province of Québec.

Charles supports our various research teams and ensures their cohesion. He has a PhD in Water Sciences (remote sensing and geomatics) from the National Institute for Scientific Research – INRS. He was a research professional at the Centre for Research in Geospatial Data and Intelligence and has been involved with the board of directors of the Quebec Association of Remote Sensing since 2008.

Philippe is CGQ’s projects and administration coordinator. He has a master’s degree in Professional and Organizational Ethics, he manages the team and implements policies promoting a pleasant and efficient work environment. He is a unifying leader, and he wishes to provide a space where people have the chance to flourish and be part of innovative projects.

After her involvement in projects in West Africa, she worked for community organizations in the Quebec City area and in politics for the Minister of Public Security. With a bachelor’s degree in public communications, she also studied for a master’s in land use planning. Her main mandate is to promote the CGQ’s activities to a variety of audiences.

Johanne has a diploma in Office Automation and Accounting, she provides essential support in the administration and accounting management of the Center.

Amongst other tasks, Levin ensures projects management, planification of airborne data acquisition campaigns and implementation of organizational geomatics solutions, the ladder mainly at the municipal level. He has a bachelor’s degree in Geology and two master’s degrees, one in Earth Sciences and the other in Geographic Sciences. He specializes in hyperspectral remote sensing applied to geology, forestry, and the environment.

Farshad has a Doctorate in geospatial data analysis. His domains of expertise are spatial databases, spatial and semantic Web, GIS software customization, and optimization. At the CGQ, he designs databases, develops Web GIS, and analyzes spatial data. He has worked for the School of Surveying and Geomatics Engineering in the University of Tehran and for the Large-Scale Distributed Information Systems Laboratory in the University of Georgia.

Yannick developed his expertise in satellite remote sensing, hydrology, and machine learning for image classification and geospatial modelling. He has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Geomatics and a Doctorate in Water Sciences.

Jean-Sébastien designs software for the real-time collection and processing of geographical data acquired by lidar sensors or specialised cameras. With a master’s degree in computer science, he has also developed solid expertise in the design of embedded systems and the analysis of geospatial data using artificial intelligence.

Nathalie works mainly with images from airborne sensors and GNSS data. With a bachelor’s degree in geomatics applied to the environment and a research master’s in geography and remote sensing, she has taken part in a number of scientific expeditions to remote regions.

Steven participates in a MITACS project. MITACS is a research organization that fosters research trainings and programs in both industrial and social  innovation. He has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and is currently working on a computer vision assisted by AI project for his master’s degree research topic.

Carlos is an integration technician and participates particularly in the development of prototypes of embedded systems, sensors, and communication between devices. He has a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering. He collaborates in the design and development of various projects related to electronic systems and their software.

Rémy assesses the robotics, artificial intelligence and computer vision needs of the projects to which he is assigned. He has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s specialising in humanoid robotics and control. During a research placement at the University of Tsukuba, Japan, he worked on new optimal control techniques.

For almost 10 years, Pierre-Luc was a research officer in a groundwater research group at the University of Quebec in Abitibi-Témiscamingue. A certified drone pilot, his areas of expertise are spatial analysis, hydrogeology and wetlands. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in geography. He helps to develop ever more innovative projects for our customers.

Nesrine works closely with the team in various phases of our projects (analysis, design, implementation, testing) and maintains our systems. After studying computer engineering and management in Montpellier, she completed a master’s degree in computer science at UQAC. Before joining the QGC, Nesrine worked as a web developer – AI.
